Common questions
The things people ask before they start.
Straight answers, including the ones where the answer is “not yet”. If something is not here, ask us and we will add it.
- What does it cost?
Site Care is $299 a month with a one-time $699 setup. Marketing + Social is $849 a month with a $999 setup. Both together — the bundle most people take — is $1,099 a month.
The AI receptionist starts at $299 a month and can be added to any plan. The full operations platform starts at $3,000 a month and is scoped per business.
Every price is published. There is no quote-only tier for the website plans and no negotiation you need to be good at.
- Do I have to pay before I see anything?
No. We build the website first and show it to you. You pay nothing until you have seen the real thing — not a mock-up, not a template with your logo on it.
If you do not like it, you walk away and owe nothing.
- How long does it take?
You fill in one form, which takes about ten minutes. We usually have the whole site built within a week.
After that it goes at your pace — you ask for changes until you are happy, and it only goes live when you say so.
- Do I own the website?
Yes. It is your site and your domain, and you keep both — including if you leave. That is in the terms, not just on this page.
- Am I locked into a contract?
There is a three-month minimum, because that is roughly how long the search and content work takes to show anything. After that it is month to month and you can cancel from your dashboard.
We do not do annual lock-ins.
- What do I actually have to do?
Fill in the form, look at what we build, and tell us what to change. That is the whole job.
After launch you can ignore the dashboard entirely if you want — the work still happens and the report comes to you. Most owners send us a photo now and then and leave the rest alone.
- Will you work with the software I already use?
That is the intention, and it is what the platform tier is for — your practice management system, job software, accounting, payroll and scheduling connected to one customer record instead of six separate tools.
Being straight about where that stands: we do not have a pre-built connector for any specific system yet. Each connection is scoped and built with you as part of a platform engagement, against whatever you actually run. Ask us about yours and we will tell you honestly how hard it is.
- What is this about AI search?
People increasingly ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity or Google's AI answers who to hire nearby instead of scrolling a results page. Those answers are built from pages the assistant can read and quote.
So we write your services, areas, prices and hours as real text with the structure those systems expect — the same reason a menu saved as a PDF is invisible to them. It is ordinary work, not magic, and nobody can promise you a position in an AI answer.
- Can you guarantee I will rank first on Google?
No, and you should be wary of anyone who does. Nobody controls Google's results or an AI assistant's answer.
What we control is the work that makes you eligible: a site that loads fast and can be read, listings that are complete and current on both Google and Apple Maps, fresh reviews, and content that keeps arriving.
- How do the reviews work?
Most happy customers never leave a review because nobody asks. So we ask for you: when you mark a job as won, a request goes out automatically a few days later, written for you and sent from your business.
You can also send one by hand any time. Either way nobody gets asked twice, and anyone who unsubscribes is never contacted again.
Reviews you receive can go onto your site. We never write reviews, and we never filter out the bad ones.
- What if I already have a website?
Most of our customers do. Usually it is a template site from a builder that looks fine to them and is invisible to search engines and AI.
We build the new one alongside it, so nothing breaks while you decide. You keep your domain and we switch it over when you are ready.
- Who actually does the work?
A small team using our own build system, which is why a full site takes a week rather than a quarter. Nothing is offshored to a content farm, and nothing goes live without a person looking at it.
If you want to talk to someone, email ken@mountaintop.site and you will get a person.
